The INSEAD research integration and optimization project envisioned a comprehensive solution that would integrate and enhance the research process on a larger scale. The proposed portal, consisting of both front- and back-end functionalities, aimed to streamline the management of research projects through an integrated approach.

The solution would involve the storage and exposure of reusable data, enabling the automated and proactive creation and distribution of communication assets in alignment with the organization's brand guidelines. Complex API setups were planned to facilitate seamless integration and process automation.

In the initial stages of the project, the focus was on identifying existing databases and designing optimized configurations to support the envisioned portal. The team carefully considered the diverse requirements of the stakeholders involved, prioritizing key features such as research project ideation and tracking, Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) tagging, and automated asset generation.

A significant development was the incorporation of SDG tagging, which would play a pivotal role in redefining resource allocation and research focus going forwards, especially with the introduction of social and environmental impact focused research grants and funding opportunities. By integrating the goals and targets set by the United Nations, the platform was expected to provide a novel perspective on the sustainability impact of research projects. Utilizing SDGs as a framework for measuring and assessing research endeavors had the potential to greatly contribute to informed decision-making and aligning with global sustainability initiatives.

Confidentiality constraints prevent the sharing of specific details about the project at this time. However, the project held great promise in terms of effectively integrating research processes, leveraging reusable data, and incorporating SDG metrics. The alignment of these elements was anticipated to unlock new possibilities for efficient research management and sustainable development within the organization.
