I provided audio-visual production services for Emmergenza France for the best part of a year. This involved capturing the live performances of emerging artists across various genres, from rock and classical music, to rap and more experimental genres.
The events took place in multiple venues, ranging from smaller, more intimate rooms to internationally renowned stages like the Bataclan. While I was running the AV side of things solo, I utilized three cameras to capture dynamic shots and comprehensive coverage of the performances. Additionally, in terms of audio recording, I utilized a 16-track recorder, a four-track master, and an ambient sound recorder to ensure high-quality audio. While the main camera angle was predetermined, I had the creative liberty to explore different perspectives and angles, allowing for an enhanced visual appeal in the recordings, depending on the artist's genre or the instruments used in the band I could adapt the angles as need be. The main objective throughout the project was to accurately convey the essence and energy of the live performances through the audio-visual content produced. Additionally, while not required by my contract with Emmergenza but with their full blessing, I began offering post-production services to the artists. Before long I had doubled my income and perfected my raw files to fully mastered and post-produced concert process through automated file management and macros, enabling me to usually have a fully produced, 30-minute long concert recording within the first 24h after the event took place.
